An entertainment motion base required only a modest force, in this case 300 pounds, but a very high frequency motion response was necessary in order to re-create the realistic sensation of a snowmobile operating under a wide variety of conditions. Also, because it's a commercial motion base they were substantial cost constraints. In order to address the cost issue without compromising longevity or functionality, E•DRIVE designed a one piece cast aluminum construction. By reducing the number of components, we minimized the manufacturing cost and achieved the desired precision motion replication operating characteristics.

Flight Simulators and Submarine Simulators for Training
